6 Months Without Recordable Injury at DMS Headquarters

We are thrilled to share a significant achievement — our headquarters in Chesapeake, VA with its marine propulsor repair and assembly center has successfully completed six months without any recordable injuries. This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to safety and the well-being of our employees.

We believe in fostering a workplace where every team member feels safe, supported, and empowered. Achieving six months accident-free is a testament to the dedication and vigilance of our team as well as the effectiveness of our comprehensive safety measures, which includes the formation of our “Anchored in Safety Campaign” that was launched at the start of the year.  This campaign was developed to solidify a culture that prioritizes safety above all else and takes proactive measures to ensure a positive safety mindset is maintained.

“In the past year, I’ve witnessed a remarkable transformation in our safety culture. It’s inspiring to see how our collective commitment to safety has not only protected us but also strengthened our team spirit. Together, we’re building a safer, more supportive workplace every day.” Tony L. Cooper Jr.  EHS Manager

DMS headquarters isn’t the only facility achieving milestones. DMS San Diego, which conducts propeller repairs and pump assembly is 662 days without recordable injury and DMS Poulsbo, which conducts propeller repairs and complex machining, is 567 days without injury.
